In addition to our discussion on the CNMI Public Health hanging on threads with its internal doctors and other medical professionals leaving the islands, reliable sources are advising the community especially those that are under medications to request from their physicians prescriptions of their medicine that would last them at least for six months. These sources are even telling them to get a year of prescribed medicines to secure themselves their required medication for their ailment.
Reason? Your doctors might just take a hike and board the plane off to somewhere else.
so what's up with all the fear mongering with doctors and all?

ReplyDeletei dont think any of them have. i believe they've all worked for at least a little while under conditions unheard of in the US mainland. although i wish they wouldnt, dont know if i can really blame any of them for leaving.

ReplyDeleteThe best way to ensure an steady supply of US trained medical specialist would be to allow foreign borned but US trained and certified MD to come to Saipan and be able to fix their immmigration status after serving for a certain number of years.Just like the way it is done in all medically underserved area under the INS(now homeland security) jurisdiction.If this happens the day that we will see Cardiologist,Pulmonologist, Gastroenterologist, Radiologist,Rheumatologist and the other much needed specialties practicing in the CNMI all at the same time will not just be a mere wishful thinking but will become a reality.

perhaps we can count on cuc to ensure that the airport does not have power. that will prevent the doctors from boarding the planes to leave saipan.
ReplyDelete(noni) that's right... little by little everythings seems to stop when the power's out... passengers can't deplane, teachers can't teach, motor vehicles personnel can't accept documents...
ReplyDeletebut cutting off the power will affect the area around the airport... why don't we just cut to the chase and chain them to the walls. send the nurses in to clean and feed every few hours...
