Is Saipan ready for a young mayor?

That's the question we want to ask Saipan voters....

The CNMI elected Tina Sablan to the Congress why not to being a mayor, right?

This move from Mayoral candidate Angelo Villagomez has captured and divided the islands' opinions.

As the defunct Fugees would say "Ready or Not" here he comes...

Best of luck.

Dirty tricks are Glen's life. In many more ways than one.

Biba Tina! HA!

When your candidates suck really bad, and you have nothing to challenge competing candidates on, you attack their family members.

Lol! This just shows how f#cking lousy your useless candidates are. No issues to run on, a dying CNMI, brainless appointees, ineffective management, lies, zero transparency. Adios.

Bateman would be sucking off Baka, while Baka played with his manboobs.
Glen would be coming towards Bateman, while Angelo tried to convince Glen that Bateman was just a "loopy" guy.
Bateman's pea-shooter would cop its load and Baka, sticky-faced, would run off crying.
Angelo would try to lighten the mood by injecting a sarcastic joke, as Bateman pulled a shiv and moved it towards Angelo's back.
Glen would plow a fist into Bateman's oversized head.
Bateman would fall like a bag of potatoes.
Glen and Angelo would walk into the sunset together hand in hand.

I checked out Heinz's job history. He has never held a real job! Something like sixteen years as a career politician. Wow.

Do you believe everything you read in the M Variety?

Change? HA!

Same old, same old.

Any of the candidates running would be better than this back of shit administration. The worst. Easily the worst.

Anonymous said...

what exactly is a "back of shit?"

Anonymous said...

back sliders... sliding on shit?

Anonymous said...

Fitial Inos, when you're dumb enough to vote for the very worst.

Anonymous said...

Clear choice: rude, disrespectful "change" or quietly industrious proven experience.

Vote Covenant.

Dear Ben Tan,

How is your campaign? Let me know if you need more money because I made 2 billion dollars from garment and poker. I heard you did bad at the debates and couldn't answer any of the questions and sounded like a retard but don't worry because nobody listens to the debates. Keep hiring more people and giving out more government jobs and you will continue to grow. Good move in giving $1 billion to Tinian to buy votes. MPLT is all Covenant so no problem.

I love the CNMI because they are easy to manipulate. Keep up the good work.

Love,
Master Willie Tan

The anti-business racism of Bitter Ed, Smart Glen, and Tina Sablan surfaces again. HA!

Retard? Really? Do people still use that as a put down?

When I find myself in times of trouble, Heinz and Arnold come to me,
speaking words of wisdom, Heinz will be...
And come November 7th they are marked on the ballot in front of me,
Saving the CNMI, Heinz will be governor.

Let him be, let him be, let him be, let him be.
Whisper words of wisdom, Heinz will be governor!

And when the broken hearted people living in the CNMI agree,
there will be an answer, Heinz will be.
For though we are all battered there is still a chance that we’ll be free,
there will be an answer. Heinz will be goernor.

Let him be, let him be, .....

And when November 7th comes there is still a light, that shines on us,
shine until tomorrow, Heinz will be.
I wake up to the sound of music, CEC comes to me via MCV,
speaking words of wisdom, Heinz it is! Heinz is governor. Heinz is governor.

Let him be, let him be, .....

Fitia is long gone… until his federal trial for acts of corruption.

Heinz is the governor. Fitial will do time.

Let him do time. Let him do time. Let Fitial do time.

And all his political hires will cease to be. Set them free. Set them free.

Baka would never use ellipses with five dots. The commenter must be very desperate.

I did. I am sorry. I copy pasted the original lyrics and that is where the author had mistakenly used the five dot ellipses. Please do not impute ill grammar upon me due to a rushed copy paste job.

You can call me RayJay said...

Ah the nickname clan is at it again. I can see where someone might call Ed "bitter" and Fitial "Uncle" or "Ben Tan", but Glen Hunter "smart"? Here is a guy who is a beer salesman for a small distributor that is losing market share on an island with a captive buying audience. Smart? Devious maybe, but smart? Oh my.

Put this dude into any 1st world country where the competition to excel is sharp and he wouldn't even be an 'also ran'. Or his girlfriend either.

Now to be fair, the same could be said about just about everyone on this island. With not much to compete against, the bar just keeps getting lower. We have people who fawn over the likes of Ed Salas and Tina Sablan. Clearly simpletons with little talent for getting anything done except talk but they are revered here as paragons.

I think all of us slip a bit when we get to a backwater like this. It's sort of like moving to Fort Yukon. "I'm the best darned Dentist in Fort Yukon"!! Well said sir, but second best is a string and a rock.

Boredom does the rest and pretty soon you have a string of comments like this one which degenerates to schoolyard name calling. Anonymously, of course because none of us have the balls to put our names to this swill.

I'll be voting for Fitial this Saturday because all I see from the other camps is a desire to make the local government even bigger than it is now. The trend over the last 4 years under the Fitial administration has been the opposite (i.e. fewer employees). The other 25 quibblers here will be voting for whoever it was that they had in mind before they came to this site and commented and are not likely to be swayed by anything anyone else says (or spews) anyway.

Well, okay, but I love this particular backwater and plan to stay until they carry me out. So here is to the best of us and to those who would challenge the rest of us to be better yet.

I bid you farewell.

Only 25 quibblers? I thought about 35. Some noni coined them the SAC Saipan Anonymous Circle.
Mostly second tier haoles. Big fish in a small pond and stuck in nowhere jobs.

Isn't Heinz's mole a second-tier second stage speck?

Isn't Juanpan's platform a second-tier cake?

Isn't Kumoi a second-tier candidate with second stage lung cancer?

Aren't the rejects who vote for Fitial second-tier Joeten zombies?

Aren't Don Flores' supporters second-tier cattle?

Doesn't Greg Cruz possess the education of a second-tier second grader?

Noni 4:20pm or should I call you RayJay - I love it!:

Thanks for doing this comment post attack for me Bruce. I know your plate must have been full. I talked to Stanley at Godfather's Bar and Grill the other night and he told me that you would have your hands full writing up the Open Government Act attack letter to the editor. I read it today. Great spin! I loved how you lied about a few things, stretched the truth here and there and just skipped over parts that would shed real light on the OGA.

Keep it up! We need Fitial to remain in office. If any of the other guys win we are screwed. They will can our asses in a heartbeat. What would we do then. I mean, you tried the bar and that... uh... touchy subject, I know.

These government jobs are the best. We can sit here and post on blogs, we can tell people off that don't like the governor and so much more. It is sad that we have to pretend that he is a good governor. I know he is destroying the CNMI, but what choice do we have? Our personal jobs depend on it.

Good luck this Saturday. Hope Ben is in again and you are still at MVA next year!

Tell Stanley that I told you that he owes you a beer!

Take care and prayfully yours,

Baka

PS: Keep fighting for Fitial! We need the Green to win on Saturday so we can keep getting the Green. How does that sound? Awesome.

Noni 4:20PM,

You throw out a lot of insults. Ever stop to think where you fit in your picture? You are a half-assed blog commenter as am I. Big fish in Small Pond? Not even that. Tadpole in a toilet.

Keep up your blog comments! Wooo Hooo! Rolling baby!

Noni 10:52,

Your parody of Baka assumes he actually visits Godfathers more than once or twice a year. And that his job is somehow dependent on partisan politics rather than the merit that governs rank-and-file government employment.

If such patronage is the sort of "change" you endorse, you would be taking the CNMI in wholly the wrong direction.

What the Commonwealth needs is Proven Experience, women of action such as Cinta Kaipat, and (in keeping with the thread topic) a few young leaders of REAL change and solutions, such as Angelo O'Connor Villagomez.

Banish the packs of barking dogs.

Vote NO on all four initiatives!

If you are confused and have no idea on who to vote for.. VOTE Jim Bell...

noni 5:16 pm added... said...

No insult meant to his memory nor family. I admired his commitment. Why can't we find politicos that are commited other than the ones commited to jail time

Bota Cinta! said...

Cinta is a person who has devoted her life to serving others, following the assasination of her father on Pagan while she was a girl.

With the revelation of the full consequences of federalization, and its abysmal CW-1 visa treatment of our hard-working contract laborers, the flexibly implemented Public Law 15-108 is looking more and more prescient. Jacinta M. Kaipat is indeed a visionary.

Also, the ability effectively to use the services of legal professionals will serve her in great stead as a Senator.

She made a wonderful movie about the Refaluwasch.

Finally, she is a committed environmentalist, a co-founder of Beautify CNMI.

Cinta is the ONLY senate candidate for whom I plan to vote.

(And she will nicely complement the agenda of Mayor Angelo Villagomez.)

Gregory Baka said...

Now we await the verdict of the people.

I am not one to stay up late awaiting election returns.

But win or lose, Angelo can be proud of the strong, clean, and fair campaign he ran, one focused on ideas and specific concrete actions and goals, not on vague promises or negative attacks.

He would make a good mayor, whether this term or several years down the road.

And we need more people like him, willing to stand up and put themselves in the public ring, without the extreme disrespect and extraordiarily vindictive and vengeful personal attacks that characterize so many of the outspoken advocates of so-called "change" that are actually a compilation of all the worst dirty tricks of the past.

Angelo, win or lose, you are a true gentleman.

Well done.

Angelo V said...

Thanks very much, Greg! I knew you would come through for me. Good to have connected individuals supporting me. Really helps that you are with the group that is overseeing the election. Thanks for helping make sure I come out on top!! It will be great nexzt year. You, Me, Ben and Cinta! The dream team. How dumb of these locals to put the fox in charge of the hen house. Fair election? LOL HAHAHA. Fair for me.

Thanks Greg!

Yours always,

Angelo

Disgusted said...

Wow! Nice to see that one of the assistant Attorney Generals who is tasked with ensuring a fair election is so open on public blogs with his personal biases and opinions for select candidates and against certain ones.

I hope the FBI and AGO track that IP to his blackberry and can his ass!

How extremely unprofessional.

I know there will be legal challenges to this election. I will make certain that blog post from Gregory Baka is showed to plantiffs. It will be fun to watch Baka squirm again in front of a judge.

PATHETIC PIECE OF SHIT!

Anonymous said...

HOLY MOLEY IS THAT FOR REAL?!?! ISNT THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE SUPPOSED TO BE MONITORING THIS ELECTION RIGHT NOW???? IS MR. GREGORY BAKA A ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTUALLY POSTING THIS COMMENT FROM THE MULTIPURPOSE CENTER AT THE SAME TIME THAT WE ARE WAITING FOR THE RESULTS???

Common Sense Prevails said...

No. Nice try, guys!

Angelo most certainly did not post that comment, and Greg moved down to traffic prosecution, taking Ed's old job, shortly after Ed was sworn in as AG.

The top three mayoral candidates were the Republican, Covenant, and Democrat nominees, respectively, so party affilliation does still matter tremendously here in the CNMI.

And dirty tricks like those immediately above were emphatically rejected by the people last night.

Thank goodness!

Anonymous said...

Bogus is as bogus does ne...just ask Jay Solly ne.

Anonymous said...

Whatever Jay Solly may have done for Juan Pan, I am gratified that Angelo Villagomez and Tina Sablan had nothing to do with that nonsense.

Ralph Torres, Tina Sablan, and Angelo Villagomez are all part of a new generation of local leadership.

Let us hope Ralph continues the next five years on a good starting direction.

Ralph Malph said...

Ralph Torres? You must be kidding! He has nothing to offer. He is an empty shell. All he did was pass out t-shirts. Sadly, that was good enough to win on Saipan.
