Just found out that Saipan again took lives of two two non-residents through a fatal accident early this morning. Four Filipino friends just came from Club V last night and as they drove friends back home the car just slammed on an electric post. Witnessed said that the electric post allegedly fell on the car that took lives of the female driver and the passenger on her right and injured the other two. The female driver and a passenger died on the spot, sources said, while one is in critical condition and the other suffered injuries but now is in stable condition.
Drunk or not, it's tragic.
When you get stuck along Beach Road, better take the Middle Road. This is a website for those who choose to tread Saipan's off the beaten path. * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * + * +

The driver died at the hospital.
Yes, they knocked down one of the wooden telephone poles.
Condolences to their families and friends and to the Filipino Community.
as sad and tragic as this maybe, the story is quite read-between-the-lines........
obviously verrrrryyyyyyy sugar-coated aswell......
it's sad, but it should serve as a cautionary tale.
...that women shouldn't be driving in the first place.
lol.
...and that drinking and driving don't mix.
The MV article said they weren't wearing seatbelts. Now I don't know the particulars of this accident, so I don't know if it would have saved them, but I do know of several recent driving fatalities on Saipan that would have been prevented if seatbelts had been worn.
What is is with people not wearing seatbelts in these modern times?
what is it with people running into telephone poles? forget about the seat belts. how about not getting hammered and driving into a pole?
does anyone know what happened at MHS...it is closed today (Tuesday) with police?????????
the car just slammed into a pole ? lol.
come on!
who are you trying to kid?
it could've been prevented if they weren't driving drunk in the first place I call it ignorance!
Well, at least she only hit a pole. Killed herself and two of her passengers.
Thank God she didn't hit another car and kill more innocent people.
Why would people be so insensitive as to include "lol" and jokes about women drivers in comments on this subject? This is a sad and tragic story. May the victims rest in peace.
i couldn't agree more.
MTV RIP...
on hitting only the pole and not innocent victims, well thank God it happened at past 2am but you wouldn't know....
