Quote of the Day: Bleak Holiday...

Taken from today's news:

Saipan Tribune-

“We have a feeling because of the economic condition, especially contract workers, they don't really know what's going to happen in the future, so they are just saving money. That has an effect on our sales big time,” said Micronesian Brokers, Inc. GM about a dismal sales this holiday season due to economic crisis.

It will get much worse in 2009 without garment industry revenue that long paid our unproductive government.

Teachers and nurses will be saved due to federal funding but ask the Governor how he will pay the rest.

Why is it always ask the Governor?

Why not ask your legislators who refuse to trim the size of the bloated gov't despite no money for those with jobs to perform a job or who actually want to increase their discretionary funds rather than decrease them?

I'm confused as to why the governor is the perpetual bad guy while long-time legislators get off the hook as far as blame goes. Please explain.

Governor sets the budget and does all the sole-sourcing. He is in charge of the government. HE IS THE BIG CHEESE.
