This Christmas I'm not going to complain about not having enough money to do anything. I figure my kids have had enough drama and deserve a nice Christmas, whine free.

I was going to get Lil a new set of lips, but have now decided against it.

I will not support any gubernatorial aspirant who campaigns during the holidays (e.g. Ramon Kumoi Guerrero). I read the entire article yesterday where Mr. Guerrero unveiled his plans to seek the highest elected office and nowhere therein did he wish the CNMI people "Happy Holidays!" The guy has poor taste... "Tis is the season to be joyful" and not campaign. What a fool!

Happy Holidays CNMI!

There is more to Christmas than just toys.

When I was a little boy, I gave my grandpa a Christmas card that said "Merry X-mas!" He loved the card, but pointed out that X-mas is an abbreviation that leaves out the most important part of this joyous holiday--Christ.

I've never abbreviated the word "Christmas" since.

I agree with anon. There truly is more to Christmas than just gifts and toys for our kids...

There's joy, I love it. And it should be this way all year long. Are you feeling it?

We all have much to be thankful for and I will get down on my knees and thank my God for all that I have.

I am unemployed this Christmas but I have good family, a home to live in, wife pays the bills, CUC expensive but we have water, power, sewer, great neighbors, Lil, good friends, Variety (okay so Yapper is not too happy about this) and Tribune, and many, many more that I am grateful for.

Happy Holidays Everyone. Give Joy.

Whether you like Christmas or not, there is no place like Saipan to spend the months of December and Jan.

I am very happy that we have to newspaper to read and one to comment on, even if they selectively remove comments.

Actually, the "Ch" of Christ is spelled "x" in the original Greek (christos = xpistos), and "X" (or "XP") has therefore been used as an abbreviation for Christ since ancient times (note for example the intertwined "XP" design often seen in churches). The religious "fish" design also originates from this abbreviation: I for Iesus + X for Xpistos = ix, the first letters of ichthus, meaning "fish."

The abbreviation "Xmas" therefore has religious significance of its own, and does not take the Christ out of Christmas any more than the abbreviation "St." takes the "Saint" out of St. Louis.

I'm going to give my hubby a hard chubby.

Actually, X can also stand for X-rated, which I enjoy in any season!
