Relight My Fire

What could lead a man to set himself on fire? Both newspapers today bannered the Nepalese that scared the hell out of Labor and Immigration officials' wits when he poured or should I say, showered himself with kerosene inside the Labor Office and lit himself literally in flames.

The poor guy sustained third degree burns and his face was badly charred. KSPN News showed this on TV, btw.

He was set to be deported back to Nepal. The poor guy has been here for 10 years.

Dude, not funny.

How about:

Tasteless. If he does recover, do you think this will be a moment he'll look back to and laugh about?

Anonymous said...

extremely insensitive. how could you make fun of something like this?

I am appalled that you would take a tragedy like this, and turn it into a joke. Clearly, this man was troubled. I am glad no one else was injured, and I pray that this man will recover soon.

Point taken.

So, maybe you should put a post up reflecting that it was distasteful?

pull the coal out because it's not turning into a diamond anytime soon.
The Rev has been a supporter of contract workers as far as I know and I really don't see how he was so distasteful.
People deal with tragedies in many ways...(yes fewer people probly try to be humorous, and thats why Rev is not ordinary and your reading this page)you certainly didn't give Rev a hard time when he was humorous about the dire times the CNMI is in....not to compare one burning themselves to the degeneration of a whole island being equal
god bless that man and his family

I pity the fool who comments anonymously. If you have something to say, have the cajones to attach your name to it.

Are you saying your Mr. T now? "I pity the fool" ....

Have you noticed the writers of this site use anonymous names? Or you really do think someones mama named them Geek Goddess, The Reveler, and Weird Elle? I think people who post their names on this site could be (and I'm not saying they are) but could be a bit on the how do I say "into themselves at tad bit"

Cheers!
